What’s so great about 60 days?

July 1st marks the 61st day of Eclipse Ridge. In the past 60 days, we welcomed new friends, gained supportive cheerleaders, bid farewell to some of those newfound friends, and witnessed the captivating beginnings of intriguing stories.

There is no shortage of supernatural sims in Second Life so why did we decide to add to a saturated theme?

It’s clear that we are drawn to and captivated by the realm of the supernatural.

The supernatural captivates our imaginations, fueling our love for stories and experiences that transcend the ordinary.

Additionally, we revel in the creative process and collaborative efforts. While many role-playing sims possess a solid foundation, they often encounter limitations in their lore or over-complicate concepts, making it challenging for players to find their place within the game’s universe.

Our vision is to establish a universe where the lore can dynamically evolve and adapt. While we have a solid foundation and some foundational structures, we want to encourage players to actively participate in shaping and expanding the lore through their questions, suggestions, and creativity. This approach allows players to feel invested in the world-building process and become an integral part of the narrative.

Eclipse Ridge is designed to be a slow burn. Our goal is to establish strong foundations that can endure the ever-changing environment of Second Life. While this approach may seem frustrating for individuals seeking immediate engagement, it is essential for building a solid and sustainable community.

We sincerely appreciate the unwavering support of those who have committed themselves to this journey. Their dedication invigorates us during the challenging days, enabling us to navigate the inevitable growing pains with greater resilience.

Let’s see what heights we can reach in the next 60 days.

Friday July 5th @ 1pm SLT – Ridge Roundup (OOC Event)

Curious about how to get your story started in Eclipse Ridge? Have questions about lore? Ridge Roundups are a OOC weekly event where you can come with questions, ideas, and even feedback as well as find out what the latest events and story-lines are happening on sim.

This week is hosted by co-owner Leah Grave at Grave Corp.

Saturday July 6th @ 6pm SLT – Red, White, and Booze (IC Event)

Celebrate America by getting drunk! Make sure you stop at The Three Sisters Pub and The Bunker for a patriotic drink or three. Then head down to The Gutter for a round of drunk bowling sponsored by Mystic Junction.

Night ends out by the lake for a spectacular fireworks show.

Make sure to have a designated driver. The Sheriff’s department will be looking for folks to have a sleep over with them at their place.

Save the Date – July 14th @ 3pm SLT for The 1920’s Prohibition Party @ The Bunker

The Bunker would like to celebrate a Grand Opening with a 1920’s Prohibition Party…and all that jazz! Gangsters and Molls, Gatsbys and Daisies, Flappers and Fedoras, and “Chicago”-style attire all welcome and encouraged! The event will officially run from 3 PM-8 PM SLT (but after-party fun is encouraged!) and VIP passes will be available for those who prefer bottle service and privacy.
