Week of 7.29.24

Founders Days

Eclipse Ridge’s Founders Days is a 3-day celebration of Lughnasadh and the midsummer season, filled with exciting events and opportunities for immersive role-playing and character interactions.

At the Old Town carnival, you’ll find interactive games and picturesque photo spots. As you stroll through the town, local businesses will host “sidewalk sales,” providing excellent conversation starters and a chance to engage with the community.

Everyone is invited to participate in a Victorian-themed cosplay experience or showcase their love for the Wild West by wearing their favorite western attire.

Make sure to share your photos on Flickr, Primfeed, or in the Founders Days thread in our Discord server.

We can’t wait to see what comes in from this coming fun filled weekend!

Though it will be streamed on Discord, there will be a fun set up in-world that your characters can enjoy. It’s not required to be logged in-world to participate because we know it can torque a computer having SL and streaming going. ICYMI

Here are snippets of current stories happening on sim or prompts to help get you dive in. Knowledge of these events are public knowledge so anyone in town could become aware of the following:

Presumably as an act of retaliation against Grave Corp’s lockdown of Old Town, vandals have caused damage to cameras and left lewd spray-painted drawings. The question remains whether this act of defiance will initiate open dialogue or compel Grave Corp to intensify their efforts.

Along the hiking trail to the summit of Old Town Mine in the State Park, hikers have encountered odd mushroom formations. As a safety precaution, hikers should avoid touching these mushrooms and promptly report their location to the Ranger Station.

In light of the tragic incident that occurred during the city’s 4th of July celebration on Emerald Lake last month, officials are issuing a warning about hypervigilance while on the lake. Their priority is to ensure the safe return of all residents and tourists. It is crucial to remember that operating a boat or other motorized watercraft while under the influence of alcohol or drugs can result in DUI charges.
