Para Rp & You
Within the virtual world of Second Life, role-play enthusiasts have a plethora of approaches at their disposal. Some prefer to engage in fan fiction, extending the narratives of their favorite stories. Others enjoy the immersive experience of tabletop role-playing games, bringing their characters to life through connected huds and dice systems that leave outcomes to chance. Additionally, there’s para role-play, which caters to those who love to write, allowing them to explore intricate stories and interactions in greater depth.
Eclipse Ridge is a para/semi-para rp sim which is consists of interactions with another character (or multiple characters) in paragraph form with most paragraphs consisting of 3-5 sentences.
Things to remember when participating in a Para-rp in Eclipse Ridge:
In a para rp sim, patience is a crucial virtue. Unlike real-life conversations where quick back-and-forth exchanges are common, para rp sim requires participants to wait for others to react to their actions, responses, or the unfolding situation. It’s essential to be mindful and avoid “jumping over” someone’s post, as this can lead to confusion and disrupt the flow of the role-play. Exceptions to this rule may occur during large events or gatherings, where the sheer number of participants can make it challenging to maintain strict sequential posting.
Whether in town sitting at the park, dinning at Picato, or grabbing a pint from the pub, you are in character. Refrain from out of character chatter and the use of emojis. OOC talk should be kept to IM’s unless it is clear the scene or event is OOC.
Lastly, in the realm of Eclipse Ridge, where immersion reigns supreme, it is essential to treat each other with dignity and respect. Remember to exercise patience with those who are new to the immersive para rp experience, fostering a supportive and welcoming environment for all.

Reports of animal attacks and bites seemed to flood Eclipse Ridge Urgent Care busy this past weekend. Apparently the Super Blue Moon left creatures a bit out of sorts. Seems that Park Rangers and Wildlife Officers are going to have if more caution is needed for those entering the State Park area.
The Bunker’s Black Tie Gala Charity Event seemed to be a success helping create pairings amongst the fine residents of Eclipse Ridge. The attendees left the event with smiles on their faces, seemingly captivated by the evening’s glitz and glam.
