Did you hear the news?
A last week’s Ridge Roundup it was announced that a second sim, Sterling County, will be added to the Eclipse Ridge brand this fall.
Growth and change are something we embrace here in Eclipse Ridge, and our ethos around evolving permeates everything we do and build.
The staff team and I are delighted to announce that Eclipse Ridge is growing – Doubling in size, in fact, with the addition of a new sim.
Sterling County the second Eclipse Ridge sim will come online on October 13th, and will feature an expanded town leading to the outskirts, as well as a whole new park-level experience with a focus on playable forests, wilderness, and intrigue.
It was also announced the official names of the Wayward Sisters. The oldest sister is Brighde Wayward, middle sister is Elspeth Wayward, and the youngest is Deòiridh Wayward. More information about their lives and posterity will be presented soon with ways for players to connect their family lineage to the founders of Eclipse Ridge.
Thank you for playing, renting, enjoying and contributing your skills and story, none of this would be possible without you. We’re incredibly excited to embark upon this next chapter.

Here are snippets of current stories happening on sim or prompts to help get you dive in. Knowledge of these events are public knowledge so anyone in town could become aware of the following:
Eclipse Ridge experiences a unique atmosphere during the autumn season. Throughout October, visitors from the region flock to the town to partake in the numerous festivities organized throughout the month. The allure of the town’s founding mothers, The Wayward Sisters, and the widespread belief in they were true witches attracts those seeking an immersive and spooky experience during this time of year.
Celebrating its 50th year, the Eclipse Ridge Chamber of Commerce is excited to continue the annual tradition of the Pumpkin Harvest Hurrah.
The annual event began when local farmer Wyatt Miller planted a few rows of Connecticut Field pumpkins, seeds that his sister had sent him, for his wife Poppy, who desired to dethrone Margaret Thomas’ five year running streak for best pumpkin pie at the church Fall bake off.
Unbeknownst to Wyatt, the heirloom pumpkin flourished in the Rocky Mountain’s crisp air, proliferating rapidly. In its first year, it yielded an astounding harvest of over 200 pumpkins. Faced with an abundance of pumpkins, Wyatt pondered his options. Eventually, he decided to establish a roadside stand, offering the excess pumpkins for sale.
In spite of Poppy’s efforts to prevent Margaret from buying a pumpkin from Wyatt, Margaret managed to obtain one of the Miller’s pumpkins. With this pumpkin, she proceeded to win the church bake sale for the sixth consecutive year.
But Poppy didn’t mind, boasting that Margaret only won because the pumpkin was from Miller’s garden.
Miller’s continued to grow the Connecticut Fields, selling them each year at the roadside stand. As the popularity of the pumpkins grew they started a a display contest at their stand, inviting the community to showcase their creativity and flair with pumpkins.
This yearly event evolved into the renowned celebration named the Pumpkin Harvest Hurrah. Upon the deaths of the Millers, the Chamber took over the tradition. Though the pumpkins are no longer from the Millers, they are sourced by other surrounding farmers and garden enthusiasts.
