“If the broom fits, ride it!”
Just going to keep it short and sweep…😜
We appreciate the continued support and enthusiasm for Eclipse Ridge. Due to real-life busyness with the Executive Board, we have had to push pause on the purchase of the second sim.
But do not worry! The timeline has shifted a month. This is intended to give us time to focus on the existing sim, whilst also being more intentional about the timing.
We remain financially strong and stable, thanks primarily to your support via business and home rentals, and we appreciate your patience with this short delay.

Full Moon Observation ALL DAY Oct. 18th-20th
The Hunter’s Moon originated its name from the season of hunting and harvesting for the coming of Winter.
However, as the veil separating the worlds thins, and the energy of the Lode peaks during Samhain, one can only wonder what might be lurking and hunting in the woods, or even in the shadowy back alleys of Eclipse Ridge.
It is also a super moon meaning as the moon draws closer to the earth, it is harder to pull away from its affects.

There were several great displays this year at the Pumpkin Harvest Hurrah. But it seems that “Kitties and Bones” (featured as the blog post image) was the top vote this year. Congratulations to Ruby Skye. You’re golden pumpkin will be delivered this week!
The exact origins of the Broomstick Bash remain shrouded in mystery. According to some accounts, it is believed that descendants of the Wayward women would engage in ritualistic broomstick riding, often in the nude, during the October full moon as a means to connect with their divine feminine energy.
Some suggest that it may have roots in a pagan fertility ritual. In this ritual, farmers would dance and leap over brooms, poles, or pitchforks during the full moon to encourage crop growth.
During the 1970s, a tale circulated about a group of women who were fed up with the patriarchal society and their husbands’ oppressive behaviors. In a daring act of feminist protest, these women decided to embark on a symbolic rebellion. They would ride through the streets astride brooms, cackling and howling as they went.
Whatever the origin, the Broomstick Bash has transformed into a revered October tradition in Eclipse Ridge. It captivates visitors from far and wide, drawing them to engage in exciting races and revel in the captivating festivities that unfold throughout the spooky season.
