Updates for Week of 11.04.24

Spooky season has officially crawled back into the grave giving way to the holly jolly of the holiday season. As November progresses, you’ll notice signs of the upcoming holidays appearing throughout the sim, along with another shift in the seasons.

Temperatures in Eclipse Ridge have dropped significantly, signaling the arrival of coat season. Daytime highs now reach only the mid to high 40s, while nighttime temperatures plummet into the teens.

We’re thrilled to have you join us as Eclipse Ridge celebrates its first holiday season!  We have a fantastic lineup of events planned and will be sharing all the details soon. Get ready for a festive and memorable time!

Have a great rest of your week Eclipsians!

Now that spooky season is behind us, what will DJ DD tantalize us with next? Make sure to tune in Wednesday from your favorite location on sim to find out!

Whether you’re new to the Ridge and have questions about storylines, RP, or how to get started—or you’ve been around for a while and just want to meet and greet your fellow RPers in an OOC setting—come to our weekly Ridge Roundup!

This is where ideas, suggestions, and questions about the sim, events, and plots can be aired in a casual, pressure-free setting.

This week’s is hosted by Anya Murtagh (Caissa McCarey)!

The Bunker will be turned into a vibrant casino atmosphere, complete with all sorts of SL games from the past and present! Slot machines, Greedy, poker, Uno, Cards Against Humanity, and whatever else gets dusted off and brought in from the basement will be set up for fun times and mingling!

As always, the dress code is upscale cocktail-to-formal attire, though we encourage your very best Halloween twist on your Monte Carlo looks! A laid-back, informal costume contest will occur at 8:30 PM, with fun prizes offered to the winners.

Mark your calendars, and if you’ve got games from the lawless old days of SL sitting in your inventory, please reach out to Eleni Vigneron Denimore (eleni.aurelia) to donate for the night!

RSVPs appreciated!

Here are snippets of current stories happening on sim or prompts
to help get you dive in. Knowledge of these events are public knowledge
so anyone in town could become aware of the following:

Grave Corp issued a statement last week offering “heartfelt apologies” and financial assistance for trauma counseling to victims and attendees of the Beyond the Grave Rave incident.

Instead of apologies, some lingering questions need to be addressed. Specifically, what are the environmental implications of Old Town? If it poses a hazard, how will the State Park and Eclipse Ridge be impacted? Additionally, why would a tasered individual experience immediate decompensation?
