Baby it’s Cold Outside!
The temperatures are dipping in Eclipse Ridge! Signs of winter are starting to emerge and will continue as the town transforms for it’s first winter! You’ll also see holiday events start to pop up on the calendar!
In December, we’re expanding the lore to include New Moon Observation, causing many species to feel unsettled, disoriented, and possibly lethargic as the Lode’s power wanes to its lowest point.
We also aim to start Lore Club…a book club but for lore! Here we will have discussions about different elements of the lore including topics such as how the different species interact with the Lode, how to use the magic system, and possibly explore the history of Eclipse Ridge.

The warm “unofficial” tradition of Friendsgiving has gained popularity in Eclipse Ridge over the past few years. Neighbors gather for a Thanksgiving potluck, bringing their favorite dishes, desserts, and drinks to share. The day is filled with games, laughter, and good company.
OOC Note: This event will be available ALL-DAY to accommodate as many schedules as possible. We strongly suggest posting in discords “Now Playing” channel or in the official Eclipse Ridge roleplay group in-world to let folks know when you are available. Active times on sim tend to be between 5pm-9pm SLT but have seen activity from 1pm to 3pm SLT as well.

The return of a cherished holiday tradition is upon us! The town will illuminate the winter nights with its dazzling tree and other festive light displays on December 1st, marking the main celebration. The Chamber of Commerce members will add to the merriment by sponsoring food booths, games, and various entertainment options.
Displays will remain up from Dec. 1st to Jan 1st.

In other news…
Seems some residents decided to venture into Old Town during the full moon. What they were doing and why is unknown. But it does seem a few of them haven’t returned including Leizer Kovacs, Elsi Pridemore, and Undersheriff Hawkins who failed to report for duty. ((Anyone who personally knows these individuals ICly should reach out to them to discuss their disappearance and what information would be found if someone should notice)).
