Hey folks, We’re sharing an important update this morning regarding our sim-wide rental rates and policies.
Update 1 Just because the real world is getting increasingly expensive, doesn’t mean your virtual world should be too; that’s why we’re announcing a cut in our rental rates. Effective immediately, we are reducing our rental rates from 4:1 (L$:Land Impact) to 2:1. This means we’re reducing the weekly cost of all units by half, for example:
- 50LI = L$100
- 100LI = L$200
- 200LI = L$400 and so on.
Why? Simply put: Because we can. With the second sim up and running and thanks to your ongoing support, we’re in a great spot with our ongoing financial stability. Sims cost money, and we’re in the great situation where we can afford to reduce costs for our community. As we approach a year since the initial purchase of the Eclipse Ridge sim, we have been continually evaluating and discussing small quality of life changes, many of which you’ve seen such as lore updates, website updates, and so on. This is simply the latest step.
Existing Rentals If you already rent from us, first of all, thanks! You enable many of the things we are able to do, and your contributions go directly toward the upkeep of the sim and our ongoing efforts and events.
Your remaining time has been automatically adjusted to account for the updated rates, so you’ll see your time remaining doubled. When you next go to top up your rent, you’ll see the new rates available.
Legal bit: This rate change only applies to existing and future rentals. Expired rentals are not eligible for a refund, in accordance with the Eclipse Ridge Rental Covenant.
Update 2 We’re also updating our rental policy to relax our rules around multiple properties per player. Effective immediately players can rent multiple units across their characters. This rule was initially put in place to ensure there was enough to go around; with the addition of Sterling County and in listening to your feedback, we no longer believe this rule to be necessary. We may revisit it in the future.
Please note, units must be occupied and decorated. Collecting multiple units simply to stack Land Impact is still strictly forbidden. Multi-units remain at the discretion of the admin team.
he Eclipse Ridge Rental Covenant will be updated to reflect these changes, and will be in effect immediately. That’s all! Thank you once again for being part of our community, we appreciate all that you do. Let us know if you have any questions, the team is standing by to help.
