Ostara is marked by the Spring Equinox, the fleeting moment when night and day stand in perfect balance. Light and darkness share the sky in equal measure before the world inevitably tilts toward the sun.
It is a season of fertility, awakening, and change. Beneath thawing soil, life stirs restlessly, roots stretch, and something ancient in the earth begins to breathe again.
For the Fae, especially for those of the Spring Raithean, the equinox brings a powerful surge of magic. Their energy swells with the awakening land, allowing them to wield their abilities at their fullest strength.
Other beings feel the turning of the season in different, sometimes unsettling ways.
Witches seek the thawed ground, pressing hands to damp soil to reconnect with the Lode and the deep current of power running beneath the world.
Cinnidh and Werewolves find their instincts sharpening. Some wrestle with the restless pull of twitterpation, while others hear the more primal call to seek a mate.
For Vampires, the balance of the equinox marks the beginning of hardship. With each passing day the sun lingers longer, forcing them deeper into shadow as warmth and light reclaim the hours they once ruled.
Vocatis are drawn to the swelling tide of emotion carried on the season: hope, longing, jealousy, desire all of it blooming as fiercely as the flowers themselves.
Humans, though often unaware of the cause, are not untouched by Ostara. Many feel a restless stirring beneath their ribs: sudden infatuations, impulsive decisions, a craving for change. Some call it spring fever. Others mistake it for love.
