Here are snippets of current stories happening on sim or prompts to help get you dive in. Knowledge of these events are public knowledge so anyone in town could become aware of the following:

On September 5th, Grave Corp encountered a break-in on their lower level. Despite the absence of any visible signs of forced entry from the outside, something had gone missing. Upon Ms. Grave’s return from her European holiday, what will be her reaction when she discovers that something of value has been taken and remains unrecovered?

Main Street welcomed Black Cat Tactical, formerly known as Big Sticks, owned by Morrigan Black. Her expertise with a full range of guns, ammunition, and accessories will be welcomed by hunters and gun enthusiasts.

Eclipse Ridge’s annual End of Summer Bash is this weekend featuring the annual eggstravaganza “Cock-A-Doodle-Doo” Dash.

The tradition of chicken racing began in the late 1800s as a fun way for farmers to celebrate the end of summer after the harvest. It started when local farmers, eager to prove whose chickens were the fastest, organized an informal race at the town’s annual summer fair. The race became the highlight of the fair, growing in popularity each year as more farmers competed and spectators cheered. By the early 1900s, “Cock-A-Doodle-Doo Dash” was a beloved event, with families training their chickens for the race, and merchants sponsoring the event.

However, as the town modernized and fewer people raised chickens, the tradition began to decline by the 1960s. Wanting to preserve the spirit of the race, the town reimagined it into something new: inflatable raft racing on water. In place of chickens, participants raced across the local lake on inflatable rafts shaped like chickens, navigating through floating obstacles. The waterfowl dash became an instant hit, blending the town’s agricultural past with modern summer fun.

Today, the “Cock-A-Doodle-Doo Dash” is a lively annual event, complete with live music, food vendors, and prizes for the “fastest cock”. The race has evolved into a major summer spectacle, but locals still honor the original tradition by bringing chickens to the event as a nod to its roots. The race remains a cherished celebration of community, fun, and the end of summer.
